Some exciting news!

I officially got my aprons put up for sale in Seed People's Market! It's been a crazy couple of weeks since I put my aprons for sale at Seed. It's kind of surreal knowing they are out there for all the world to see and purchase!

(Please excuse my iPhone photos, I didn't get any proper photos before I dropped them off.)

I'm happy to report that April informed me that I have already sold three of my aprons! I am beyond excited. I'm so glad that I finally got them out there and that they are doing well. I'm definitely going to be making some more aprons to sell at Seed.

Ever since we got our anniversary party all scheduled I have been looking at all kinds of photos from the internet of lovely picnic sites and party ideas.

PC versus Mac

This is me...and this is how I feel 99% of the time when I try using my new Macbook Pro. (Yeah, yeah, yeah Kretzu go ahead and gloat!) 

Backtrack a couple of days, I bought a Mac because my PC is having major issues. Since I rely on my laptop for work I can't have my computer shutting down on me whenever it decides it's necessary. So I went back and forth between buying a better PC or buying a Mac and the Mac won. I said I would never do it, turns out...I did it.

Back to reality; going from a PC to a Mac is incredibly difficult. Yes, I am an iPhone and iPad user so you would think that using a Mac wouldn't be so bad but it is. I can see how a Mac will be beneficial once I can actually use it but right now it's challenging. Everything I'm used to is totally different and on top of that Mr. Coleman can't help me with everything because his Macbook is two versions behind my operating system. EXTREMELY frustrated!

So I'm hoping my first blog post will be the moment when everything changes, when I go from confused Mac user to...

Here we go again!

*This post was created yesterday morning while I was still in Columbus but apparently it didn't post probably because I closed my computer before it sent. Oops!

This photo was taken on my last business trip. It's become a familiar sight for me since I started working in my current job almost one year ago. We travel A LOT! As I sit in my hotel room in Columbus, Ohio getting ready to pack up my things and head back to LA I keep thinking about what it means to travel. I mean I have accrued enough miles in less than a year to fly to New York and back almost 10 times! So I figured I would let you in on the good, the bad and the ugly of traveling, in my opinion of course. 

Good things about flying/traveling:

• It's the little things like having an empty seat next to you!
• Getting to see little bits and pieces of the country.
• Accruing lots and lots of miles that I can use to buy tickets. 
• Dropping in on friends and family who live in our destination spots, even if it is only for a couple minutes. 
• Paychecks! I mean c'mon, that's the only reason we all work, right?

Bad things about flying/traveling:

• I miss Mr. Coleman...A LOT.
• I miss my pups.
• I hate flying. I'm not kidding, I don't like it and it makes me sick half the time.
• Not being able to sleep in my own bed.
• Eating a lot of really great but really bad for you food.  
• Not being able to work on any knitcole projects. 

Things that make flying/traveling tolerable:

• FaceTime, I will never underestimate the power of being able to see those at home again. Isn't Sue just adorable when he's confused?
• Hotel coffee makers, I mean a cup of joe in the morning really makes life a bit more bearable. 
• WiFi
• Those big comfy beds with huge down comforters. 
• Cable! I don't want it in my home but it's nice to catch up on things we don't get to watch, mostly HGTV and the Food Network. 
• My boss...she's awesome. Really, she is.

A little update on what's just around the corner!

I've been away from my blog for a bit now and I've realized that with such a massive list of things I need to get done writing blog posts just isn't even in the top 10. I'm hoping this will really change soon. I miss writing posts and I'm hoping that as I cross things off my list then posting here will rise back to to the top!

I feel like I have so much to share about too! Life has been happening all around me and I've been busy, busy, busy trying to keep up! August is shaping up to be even busier than July and 4th quarter looks like it will definitely be our busiest one yet!

Just a tiny update on things.

knitcole:

• I'm working diligently to get my business up and running...STILL! I'm developing new products and working on how to make knitcole a cohesive brand. I'm finally working through my Indie Business e-course, and it's really helping me to shape knitcole into what I want it to be. I'm excited for what's going to come next. 
• In the meantime I'm working on getting aprons into Seed People's Market (look for a post in the next week on this one!) and on working on getting my Etsy store where I want it to be.
• I'm considering craft shows that I might want to participate in for the holiday season. This scares the pants off me but I think it's a step I need to take to see how much I can really push myself and to get out there and be creative!
• I've been praying that God would help me to be confident in my abilities and knitcole. I've been experiencing a lot of self-doubt when it comes to knitcole and stepping off that last step and walking into the street. It's been something that really scares me and I'm not sure why. I KNOW I can do this and I also know that I can do what makes me happy and provide myself with a little extra income. I just need to have faith in myself.

Wedded Life:

• I can't believe that we have been married for 10 months today! UNREAL!
• The biggest thing for me has been working on our 1 Year Anniversary Party! I'm happy to say that things are finally coming together for this and Mr. Coleman and I are so happy that we are going to be able to make this happen. It was really important to both of us to find a way to celebrate our marriage with everyone since we didn't have a wedding. I'm so excited to be able to share our happiness with everyone with a celebration!
• Finding a place that fit my picnic potluck ideas was key and we found a great one! Now that we have the place booked I'm finding myself a little stressed working out the remaining details. This is part of why I never wanted a wedding but I'm doing my best to find a balance between having a great party and keeping it simple. With invites ordered, my site for the event and other things coming together I'm slowly but surely knocking things off this list too! I'm just praying that I don't lose my sanity, or take Mr. Coleman's for that matter, along the way!

The busyness of Life:

• As usual there seems to be an endless supply of weddings, babies, birthdays and other parties coming up! I pray I keep my sanity! Every weekend in August is 100% filled for us! I couldn't believe it when I sat down to look at the calendar. That coupled with the fact that I'm travelling for week this week and the next and then the amount of work that will follow once I get home have really made August one of my busiest months yet! I'm still hoping that someday I will learn how to say no to some of these obligations, I just can't attend everything but somehow I still try.
• Work is keeping me on my toes this month. Travelling to Columbus then Seattle, working a few days  away from home and then the amount of work that will be done at home will be sure to multiply rapidly as the month continues. I'm blessed to have the job that I have, but it's still going to be a lot of work to come!
• I vowed to learn to play my banjo and my harmonica, and like blogging these have been put lower on the list into the lesser important zone. I will say this, we went to a concert and I very easily was able to identify what chords were being played on the banjo so I am making improvements! Now if I could just figure out how to make my left and right hand do two different things while my eyes try to look in two different places...
