Ok yesterday I shared my personal goals and today it's time to lay out the business goals. I felt that my business was really going somewhere by the end of 2011 and that I really needed to have some solid goals for knitcole for 2012.
- Create one silhouette per day. This was a lofty goal indeed and it's already been modified. I found this to be incredibly difficult and have changed it to creating 5 silhouettes per week, one for every work day. The whole purpose of this goal was to find new ideas to expand my collection and keeping with that notion I've even decided that when it's necessary I can create more than one per day and that when I am away from home I will not need to make up for it when I get back. Even with these changes I'm sure I will still have at least 100 new designs this year.
- Complete Indie Business. Indie Business is an e-course I have found to be wonderfully informative and helpful. I haven't yet finished the course and this year I want to finish the remaining lessons and possibly review those I have already completed.
- Create a wholesale package. I want to create a package that I can send to stores that I want to try to sell my aprons in, this way I can expand my market and hopefully achieve my next goal to...
- Sell in one new store. I love selling my aprons at Seed and want to try to sell them at one new store in 2012.
- Participate in a large craft sale. I have no desire to sell at craft fairs every weekend but I would like to participate in a large craft fair most likely near Christmas. I want to prepare for it in advance and hope for expanded sales and exposure.
- Blog more regularly. I'm not sure what this actually means. It was a goal I had last year and I was able to blog more last year than the previous year but I haven't figured out how regularly works for me. I tried to say I could blog so many days per week but I was unable to keep to this regimen so I am unsure of how to measure this goal in 2012.
- Sell 100 aprons. What a goal! I know I can do it but I wanted to set a number that I could reach for. I'm excited for what 2012 will bring and I am hopeful that I can make this happen.

Cute silhouette idea! I went to your shop to see more.... I guess I'll have to check back later. I found you through freckled nest. Best of luck with your business goals for 2012, you've got some great ideas and talent. :)

Sarah that's awesome! Isn't the blog world such a small and funny place? I hope the book helps you as much as it's helped me!
Crissy, thanks for stopping by and checking out my shop. I'm in the process of getting some new photos up and hope by Monday to have a few silhouettes in the shop and some more aprons by next week!

Found your blog through Freckled Nest and really enjoyed reading through your old posts. Working on setting my own small business goals, so this post was particularly inspiring! Best of luck in accomplishing as many as possible!

Goal setting is THE way to test your business and your commitment to your business. Way to go! Even if one falls short of their goals they set at the beginning of the year, they still can accomplish much more than they would have had they not set goals. But I'm sure you'll accomplish all this and more! And wouldn't it feel great to double some of these goals??

This is a great set of goals. I bet starting out the year with an ad on Freckled Nest keeps you motivated with all the positive comments heading your way. Your silhouettes are super cute... although michigan's looking a little odd... :)

Xenia, I'm glad I was able to inspire you. What a compliment! Good luck with your goals as well.
Joy, thanks! It would be AMAZING to double these goals.
Kate, thank you and yes, Michigan is the one part of the map that looks a little different depending on the map you use!
