Hi, my name is Nicole Coleman, or Nicoleman as my friends like to call me.I'm a 31 year old lover of all things handmade, banjos, nature, folk art & music and all things that remind me of simpler times.
I'm newly married to the love of my life Mr. Coleman and we have a sweet little chihuahua named Toots, (like a Tootsie pop not like 'toot your horn',) who keeps us busy while we work, go to school and craft or make music.
Knitcole was created by me in 2007.
This is when I realized that my love for knitting and crocheting could be transformed into something that was a little bit more than a hobby. I sold my first beanie that year and it has been quite a journey since then.
I first created my blog in 2008 as a way for me to chronicle my personal adventures in life in business. My blog has changed and transformed many times both literally and figuratively! And it has now finally found it's direction!
My blog is here to tell the story of the creation of what I hope will be my very own little business. Maybe not a mega business that will pay all of my bills but more of a sweet little adventure that just might bring in a couple dollars from doing what I love.
Not every post will be directly related to my business, (although most will center around knitcole, knitting, crocheting or some sort of crafting inspiration.) Since my business is an extension of my life sometimes there will be posts about the other parts of my life that add to who I am as a burgeoning entrepreneur and even posts that are just plain silliness or things that make me happy!
